I can barely believe we're just days away from 2003! "Time fly's when you're being blessed!" SMILE! This has been one of my busiest years ever. I truly believe there are many of you who know my schedule better than I do. Well, I'm going to do my best to bring you up to date on where I've been, and we're I'm going.

As you know my CD WORTH WAITING FOR was released last year. Well, I've got to tell you, I have had a blast performing across the country doing concerts, benefits & tours promoting it. I truly appreciate all of the support I've gotten from my fans and especially radio across the country. City's are continually adding the CD to their rotation and play lists, especially when all of you request it. It's been selling incredibly well on the web-site, as well as when you've come to support me at the live events where it's always available. Thank you. Thank you very much.

I was blessed to be added to the incredible line up of the Sisters in the Spirit Tour which featured Grammy award winners: Yolanda Adams, Shirley Caesar, Mary Mary, and the up and coming divas of gospel music Virtue. I was initially brought on as the host of the Northeastern leg of the tour but in support of me and my CD they gave me my own featured spot in the concert to sing a few songs. And all of you who attended could not have made me feel more loved and appreciated. I received e-mails about it for months afterward. You never know when God is going to bless you, and I have to tell you, that sharing a concert stage with those ladies was a huge one! We performed in arenas like Madison Square Garden, in N.Y.; and the like in N.J., Baltimore & Boston. I then went on to do solo concerts in Atlanta, Texas, Florida, Detroit, New Orleans, North Carolina, LA & Washington, DC, to name a few. I also did a concert for the NAACP. This year was a landmark anniversary for the NAACP and it's largest yearly event held in Detroit. After the BlackTie dinner, I joined in an impromptu jam session with renowned jazz saxophonist Marion Meadows at a local theatre. I later did a similar concert at The United States Conference on Aids National Convention in Los Angeles.

I like many of you, have tragically lost some amazing people in my life to the AIDS epidemic. So, when I was asked to be a part on the Congressional Committee of the National Black Leadership Committee on AIDS (The Meeting of The Millenium) I was proud to accept and lend my voice and support. All who participated are leaders in their fields, such as: Business, Medicine, Religion, Media, Education & the Arts. It was an amazing few days. We came up with and developed successful strategies and data to help educate and raise awareness of this disease particularly in our community.

As you know A Different World ran on NBC for nearly six seasons. This year also marked the 75th Anniversary for NBC, and guess who came strutting down the "red carpet" as the Proud Peacock! I had a gown designed by the one only Linda Stokes. It was a beautiful combination of hand painted & beaded silk, chiffon, and peacock feathers. Linda truly outdid herself, and I felt like the bell of the ball! Maybe you saw the photos! SMILE
